WHAT IS MY DAILY JOY? 💙
Whiling away my hours with these 5 brave wild, crazy and beautiful little people.
Documenting their days.

How many of you had a diary or scrapbook as a child? A place to scribble random thoughts and dreams; record the day’s events; stick the odd blurry photograph and doodle little pictures?
How many of you still have a journal today? I’m guessing not too many?
One glance around any book or stationery shop shows that modern journals are designed to help schedule our busy lives, rather than record memories.
But I was a child of the 80’s. The FunFax generation and I loved to journal (I still do!) Polaroid photos, washi tape, watercolour doodles. Reams of notes and stories in black ink.

For the last few years, all that's mattered a whole lot more to me.
I've been in pain for long enough to know that life doesn't always turn out the way you planned.
It's brought things into focus.
The moments we manage to capture seem that little bit more precious.
I'm more aware of the month’s blurring into the years. Time disappearing.
They’re all another year older before I’ve had time to catch my breath.
And now, as the owner of a teenager right down to a toddler, I know I'll forget things.
There’s no possible way for my mind to cling to all the details.
The big events and important occasions, I'll remember yes. The mundane not so much.
I journal because I want to remember everything. I want to capture and record the things that mattered to me.
Notes for my children. The things I want them to remember.
Because the mundane matters.
My daily joy. ❄ ❄ ❄ ❄ ❄
For this month's ❄️ #24storiesofgratitude GRATITUDE-project ❄️ I've teamed up with some wonderful friends to create a space where all can express our gratitude and all can share. Over the course of the next four weeks, follow a community of storytellers and artists discussing the theme of gratitude in daily posts.
We invite you to connect over this challenge and to wind down for just a little while.
This week's prompt - Daily Joy.
Next story can be found tomorrow on @chalcraftdesign ’s feed.
