Simple, contemporary & stylish
Snake chains are made up of many tiny links that are tightly woven together to create a smooth, flexible tube-style necklace, with a zig-zag appearance.
They are fastened with a simple lobster clasp.
Our Snake necklace chains are handmade in the UK by some of the most recognised quality jewellery manufacturers.
The snake chain seen here is shown with both a petite disc-shaped fingerprint necklace and a petite contemporary heart-shaped fingerprint necklace.
They are both approximately the size of a 20 pence piece.
Prices are based on a single snake chain.
Standard necklace length shown here is: 18” or 45cm
Please note that all snake chains do have a tendency to kink in places if they are not carefully worn and cared for. For that reason, we do not usually recommend them for daily wear. Instead, they are a beautiful choice for occasional use.
Bespoke Orders:
Please ask if you would like to purchase a chain in any other length. Chains are all handmade to order, so we are usually able to provide any length that suits you.
They are also available in heavier styles with larger links made from wider wire.
Get in touch if you would like something a little different.
Chain Lengths:
The different chain lengths available are shown in the photograph below.
Here, we have used our spiga chain to illustrate the size differences.
The photograph shows chain lengths including 16", 18", 20", 22" 24" and 28".
Our standard or most popular chain length for women is the 18" which sits comfortably below the collar bone. This can be seen here as the second chain from the top.
The 18" chain is available to add to the shopping cart above.
It is important to note that we have provided this picture as a guide only.
Chains will appear differently on different people!
This difference is much more noticeable between men and women, where chains tend to appear shorter when worn by men.
Traditionally, women's chains range from 16" - 20" and men's chains range from 18" - 24" but this ultimately comes down to personal style and preference.
The most important thing is to choose a necklace length that works for you.
Precious Metals Available:
All our Snake chains are available in sterling silver, 9ct gold (in yellow, white, and rose gold shades) and 18ct gold (in yellow, white, and rose gold shades).
Although we make 14-carat gold charms, pendants, and gifts, at the moment, 14-carat chains are rare in the UK. If you would specifically like a 14 karat chain please let us know, but note that it will need to be imported.
